Forget-Me-Not Pin
The official state flower of Alaska, the forget-me-not grows in alpine ecosystems between 7,500 and 10,000 feet. Their small flowers range in color from blue to pink to white, centered around a distinctive yellow ring. This high-altitude plant has a short, summer growing season on mountain slopes and in grassy meadows. German legend claims the plant’s name originated after a knight fell into the Danube river while picking blue flowers for his lady. As the water swept him away, he tossed his colorful bouquet to her, exclaiming “forget-me-not!” 1.25" Hard enamel pin w/ black metal finish
